I want to make myself a little vulnerable … and tell you a few of 𝒎𝒚 𝒅𝒆𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒔 in regards of me beginning the online business growth journey online!
Throughout this post I also want to give you a few insights of what is the best organic marketing strategy that I discovered from the time I started working online!
The biggest problem that everyone comes across when they are starting is an inflow of potential clients. – I went through this phase as well.
And I didn’t have a direct coach or an accountability partner to work with to solve this problem.
All I had was access to Youtube videos, a few courses that I purchased and here I went solving this problem on my own …
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐈 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫?
It’s true, I studied a few programs, courses, videos of the digital marketing gurus (I am not the best student when it comes to listening to the things that that are not really complete and in depth! – There was some of that)
So, not a lot of that knowledge really ever worked for me in full! None of it really allowed me to achieve the market demand that I wanted…
They said … open up a Facebook group, build a landing page, do a webinar, write a question and post it in your profile, add friends, have conversations with them and try to sell them into your services, have salesy cover photo, bio statement with your message, right! Huuuh
Yeah, all of that works to certain extent! But it’s just a headache to manage it all and have it all completely right!
And, I was looking for a very simple and sharp marketing system that would convey my message to people totally authentically and in depth, so that my “marketing” would already pre-frame and pre-qualify potential clients for me, and it would position me as an expert, authority!
And the clients would rush toward me, they would be asking to work with me – the demand would be here!
That’s exactly what I was looking for! It’s totally the opposite of what everyone else is saying – you got to fish and here and there you will catch a fish! And then you need to clean it and cook it, etc…
Why wouldn’t it rather be the other way! The fish would be brought to you on a silver plate, already spicy and cooked!!!
That is what I asked myself! How can I achieve that!
𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐲𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞
And it came to my knowledge that I am not transparent enough, I don’t give people enough of information, processes away already in my ‘marketing’.
How can people know what I can help them with if I don’t share with them the steps, processes, ideas, suggestions!
And yeah, everyone would say, don’t give all that stuff away, as you won’t be able to sell them anything after that!
Yeah, right! That’s the myth that everyone believes in! Rather look at it this way… Give people away that much info that you already help them a little in the first place through your marketing!
And that’s how you going to position yourself as an expert, authority, they will believe in you and your story!
And still, everyone’s case is different and people will need in depth additional support from you, so they WILL hire you, and they will want to hire you, because they know that you will deliver, and in your MARKETING they can already sense that you know what you are talking about!
Let’s take an example of my services!
I got two bigger programs… My bigger high-ticket program shows online business owners how to put systems in place, processes, automate their service delivery, build a team, scale with marketing automatization, etc…
I can’t put a beginner who hasn’t gotten his/her first client yet and is not getting a consistent flow of weekly sales in their business to my bigger program! It just won’t work for them as they don’t have big enough demand for it…
But what if I help them with my smaller high ticket program that helps them achieve a consistent flow of weekly sales with doing their organic Facebook marketing right with investing 1-3 hours per day, and they get such a big demand of clients that they can’t handle it all anymore!!!
They start screaming for my additional support and asking to join my bigger program so we automatize their business systems and service delivery process, so then they can handle bigger quantities.
Do you see how it works! You got to be a builder, you got to build bridges! And they need to be smooth and enjoyable to walk through!
And that’s what people don’t do right! They don’t really help you to walk over each bridge first, and collect “payment” later, after they build trust!
But rather, they stand in front of the bridge and they are promising you that they will get you across the bridge after you ‘invest’ (they are salesy, spammy and slick 😛 ) and you can’t really trust them as you don’t want to become a victim. Got it?
You should give first! And expect a return on investment later. But of course, everything has its own limits. More about that next time.
𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭
So far so good! Now you might ask, so how do I approach it all!? As I said, you don’t really need to do that much, but you just got to do the things that will work …
And here is a plan that I figured out works best! Step by step, watch and learn!
You got to position yourself right! As an expert?
What does that mean? And how do you position yourself?
Look, the market audience that you serve already exists, the problem that you solve exists. Often those people congregate in same places. More about it later in this post…
And you already know what would be your irresistible offer for those people to solve their problem.
Now, the question you need to ask yourself is, how do you bridge a gap between those people and yourself!?
Huh, what is the answer? You got to position yourself on that market and build your own pond, audience that resonates with you and your story, your message!
Here are the 3 phases of how can you begin, even if you are a total beginner!
𝑃ℎ𝑎𝑠𝑒 1 – 𝐸𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑖𝑠ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔
Before you get anyone to start following you, you got to have your system ready! Everyone should focus on doing one thing good at first… and the thing that you got most control of is your Facebook profile, because you can manually expand the network reach.
So, you got to polish it, so it’s clean and it conveys your message. The most valuable thing on your Facebook profile are your CONTENT POSTS… because that is where you can really go in depth with your people!
And of course, other parts that I mentioned above already before need to be polished as well!
So, when a visitor will see your profile, they would find themselves in your story and in the value that you provide.
𝑃ℎ𝑎𝑠𝑒 2 – 𝐸𝑥𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛
After you got your pond ready, you can manually start expanding your network and inviting “your potential clients” to become friends with you!
So, how do you invite them to become friends with you? Gosh, there is so many strategies (I got like 8 of them written down on my slides) and they are all based on one same idea).
Your potential clients already follow other authorities (could be your competitors), or they just started following them. So, if you build a list of 10-20 competitors and like their pages, join their groups, and also “add some of them as friends”, you will be able to “spyyyyy” on them! This becomes exciting! It’s a game time 😊 Just kidding!
But truly, if you hang around there (and as I said, your job is to be making connections and always providing value, ideas, suggestions and more, at first!!!!) you can see who is engaging in those communites, asking questons, seeking for help, liking those posts and more, and you can simply add them as friends! They will see your profile and decide if your message resonates with them!
They should se value and they should like your story and accept your friend request!
I got 8 in depth step by step strategies how to do that authentically in 8 different ways, but can’t expand on that right now.
Okkay, you got the idea now! That was phase 2 – expanding your network!
𝑃ℎ𝑎𝑠𝑒 3 – 𝑁𝑢𝑟𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔
This is the most important phase as you will be engaging with people in your network, providing them with new content value, more of your personal insights, so they can interact with your profile and posts!
The first thing that you will need is a content creation schedule! You should post a few times a week!
I suggest that you post at least twice a week in depth educational post, just like this one that I am writing right now! You should also post 1 personal story post, 1 lifestyle post, 1 engagement question. But you don’t need to over-do it, as long as you post 2-times per week and let that be quality!
People will engage, ask you questions and you would invite them at the end of your written posts to private message you to have in depth conversation with you. Of course, you could also be the one that reaches out first, but be smooth with it. There is a process that you can follow to do it right, but more about that later…
This is what phase 3 is all about, nurturing, engaging, supporting (‘’and leading people to the end sale’’)
𝐒𝐨, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐍 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥?
You will need to do 1-3 hours per day of your online engagement activities. I see many of people who don’t hit their daily quota of the work that needs to be done online, and that’s why they fail.
There is certain amount of engagements and conversations that you need to have every day to hit your weekly goals. I am very keen to write about these daily activities more in depth next time.
But for now, let me leave you with a few things that you should be doing daily:
- Expanding your Facebook profile network
- Writing/creating content to educate and engage
- Striking private conversations with people to go in depth
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐯𝐞?
Look, if you do it all right people will see you as an authentic authority and not “Salesy Man”!
You will provide yourself with an incoming lead flow of potential clients demanding more of your support – they will desire to ask you more and more questions!
This is the way to start, if you are doing it all from scratch! You got to give more than you are expecting to receive! And it’s going to be given to you even more!
That’s how the compounding effect works, law of attraction, universe! It provides you with more of what you are putting out!
